Kristen Herrington

Artist, Author, Podcaster, Togetherland, Facilitator, Accessibility Advocate

Kristen Herrington is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist who finds purpose in inviting others to discover their own creativity through a curious lens. With a practice that spans painting, writing, podcasting, and curating immersive experiences, she is committed to building inclusive, heart-led spaces where emerging artists and creative spirits can connect, feel seen, and grow together. Her mission is to nurture a vibrant, accessible community rooted in curiosity, compassion, and courage—where creativity is not only encouraged, but celebrated in all its raw, evolving forms.

Drawing from a rich and unexpected blend of experience—including a corporate background, a political science degree, and deep dedication to wellness and accessibility advocacy—Kristen bridges the intuitive and the practical. She guides others to create from the heart, while equipping them with real-world tools to bring their visions to life. She believes we can do hard things—and that community is the soil where brave creativity blooms.

As co-founder of Curiosity Club, Kristen has helped shape a dynamic gathering space for curious minds, seekers of self-discovery, and those longing for genuine connection. Through playful workshops, creative experiments, and community events, Curiosity Club has become a creative playground where people are free to explore, express, and expand—together.

She is also the founder of Togetherland, a sensory-friendly certified art gallery and creative hub in rural Nova Scotia that reimagines what inclusive artistic spaces can look and feel like. Her podcast, Make It with Mike and Kristen, consistently ranked among the top 200 global arts podcasts, is an extension of her mission—sharing stories of “enoughness,” creative satisfaction, and the imperfect journey of making art and meaning in the world.

Kristen creates spaces—literal and figurative—where curiosity leads, creativity thrives, and everyone is invited.

Testimonials

From those who have worked with us...

"TAW has impacted me in a big way. I didn’t realize going into it that I was about to embark on a journey of deep personal discovery and work. My confidence has been impacted in a number of ways, not only in accepting myself as an actual artist who creates things that people may enjoy, but also in believing in myself to try new or difficult things. I have learned to turn my negative self talk into words of affirmation through the tremendous support of the leaders and fellow participants which is something I struggled with my entire life."

"These women have inspired more people than they are even aware of. Connected to deep intuition, they bring the light out in others around them. Their discipline will bring great knowledge and practice but their souls will bring great healing and art."

"Beyond my wildest dreams. It truly felt like therapy that was monumental. I learned about the inner critic and the way I censor myself to please others. I can consciously work on these patterns now to create better boundaries and better art."

"The Artist’s Way changed my life entirely! It reminded me of who I am at the core and showed me that literally any of us can be Artists if we choose to create whatever’s on our hearts! I now spend more guilt-free time alone and have gotten back to doing the things I love. This has made me show up more authentically in my everyday life! I’ve fallen in love with writing every day and am so proud of the growth I’ve experienced in joining this group. I’ve witnessed true brilliance and powerful growth in other participants along the way, and met great friends who became family. I’ve learned not only to show up for myself but to meet myself wherever I am on any given day. Some days, I can give than on other days and, on those days, that’s ok. I would follow The Artist’s Way again and again, and highly recommend taking the leap if any of this speaks to you! I promise — you won’t look back."

"It has changed my life. Given me confidence and a beautiful creative community of the most supportive friends"

"If you are not sure where to begin, if you feel unclear or off course or overwhelmed then this opportunity found you for a reason. If you have more excuses of why you aren’t pursuing your dreams; this is your time."

Soul Archaeology

A 13-Week Journey of Creative Discovery

Who are you now?

Join us for Soul Archaeology, a 13-week guided exploration where we’ll gently unearth the layers of who we’ve been, who we are, and who we’re becoming. Through creativity, curiosity, and community, this experience invites you to reconnect with your authentic self — mind, body, and spirit.

Using Julia Cameron’s “The Artist’s Way” as a foundational guide, we’ll move beyond the page with weekly prompts for movement, art-making, reflection, and soul-digging. Together, we’ll explore themes of identity, purpose, and renewal.

Each week includes a 75-minute virtual gathering on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM (AST) via Zoom, featuring (4) guest speakers, curated playlists, guided meditations, breakout groups, 1:1 therapeutic creative session, ‘get those grants’ bonus workshop, yoga sessions and more. You’ll also receive exclusive resources, creative exercises and access to a private Facebook group to deepen your personal practice between calls.

Our journey culminates with a full-day retreat in Cape Breton on Saturday, April 18, where we’ll gather in person to celebrate with art-making, meditation, movement, nourishing food, and time capsule creation.
